Date: 2013-02-01 09:45 pm (UTC)I am sorry..I was worried and acted without thinking. I shall try to be more careful in the future. However, it's good to hear that you're fine. Hopefully you'll remain that way..and if you need my help in the future, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm a simple book girl..but I may be able to help.

Date: 2013-02-12 06:02 pm (UTC)Thank you. I'm sorry that I bothered you about this when you're already dealing with a lot. Hopefully things are a bit better on your end in the Tower.
..I'm glad to hear that you stuck up for Earth and humanity, despite what you would have to do, to both the Grigori, the Nephalim, and your friend. It must have been hard..but to be honest, I probably would have done the same thing, if I were in that position.
You don't have to worry about how short these accounts are. They must pull up a lot of memories, good and bad, and those are hard to deal with on top of the Tower. Don't worry about it. I understand.
By the way..that portion of the story was pretty delicious! It tasted like baked catfish with breadcrumbs..and maybe some lemon sauce. Thank you.

Date: 2013-02-12 05:55 pm (UTC)So you say. However, I saw on the network that she was not feeling well either. However, since I believe you to be a man of your word, I shall believe you. Nevertheless, you have still harmed both my friend and I, and I do not think that you had to.
Even if it was a weak curse, it still did quite a bit of damage, both physically and emotionally, and I will not forget it when I see you.
I also find it rather dishonorable to threaten to harm my friends if I do anything to you. Put all the greater curses you want on me if I do something. That would be fair. However, harming people who have nothing to do with it would not be.
Even if you are a 'King of Evil', you are still a 'King'. I would think that you have some codes of honor.

Tohko Amano, the book girl.

Date: 2013-02-14 05:00 am (UTC)I can't take this. You're a great person to still be able to think of me as a friend, but I can't take this. I don't deserve it. I wanted to save you, but the truth is that I could only hurt you.
I got you this pendant for your kindness, but I'd understand if you don't want it.
Given on the 14th
Date: 2013-02-14 05:10 am (UTC)Dear Lancer,
Lancer..you don't only hurt me. While the act did hurt, you were only doing what you thought would help, and it did help my legs. Plus, that would be saying that the time we met up in the library only hurt me or all those times we talked on the network.
You don't only hurt me..and I think you do deserve it.
Thank you for the pendant! It's beautiful. I'll wear it on my other braid ribbon. Thank you.

received on the morning of the 28th of February
Date: 2013-02-28 05:35 am (UTC)If you've received this, it means I'm now dead. I can't be certain if all of you have been made aware of this yet--if it is not known, please inform the others. I don't want anyone to try to act as if I'm alive to trick you all.
You wanted to help me, so I am giving you this letter. I have hidden information away in the administrative levels that may be able to help all of you. It should be hidden somewhere only I can access. I've placed security there to prevent the other administrators from getting in, and as such the trek will be a dangerous one. Please do not feel you need to go immediately--wait for opportunity, and do not go alone.
Burn this letter once you have read it and then spread the information. Do not use the network to talk about this; speak only in person and make sure none of the worker or retrieval units can hear you.
Please be careful. I regret being unable to help all of you.

Dax

Date: 2013-02-28 04:39 pm (UTC)I do not think I have had the time to thank you for the chocolates you sent me on "Valentine's Day". We have no such holiday in the world I originate from, and I would like to thank you for them (they were delicious).
However, as you may suspect those are much more dramatic matters that lead me to send you these writings. As you yourself most likely did, I witnessed the recent events on the networks and observed the reactions of our companions prisoner in this tower. Do not mention attacking Ruana on the network with our fellow companions. She was unstable before and I am afraid she will only become much more of a threat. For now, there is no longer anyone below to protect you and everyone else from her.
Avoid mentions of Dax as well. I understand you may not fear her reaction-- Few amongst us do. Maybe out of courage, maybe because we know she can do no worse to us? Yet, she could wipe out your memories or suppress your free will. And this must never happen. There is too much at stake here, we have to be careful.
I trust you will do the best.
GANDALF
PS.
Please inform those you see plotting against or insulting Ruana on the network as well. I would do it myself but I spend too little time near these machines.
[Given on the afternoon of the 28th.]
Date: 2013-02-28 05:50 pm (UTC)I'm glad you enjoyed the chocolates I gave you. I'm sad to hear that you don't have Valentines Day-or some equivalent-in your world, so I've written an explanation of the holiday below:
Valentines Day is a holiday celebrated on the fourteenth of February. The story behind this holiday is that a priest named Saint Valentines was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for helping out Christians who were persecuted by the Romans, which is the term given to people who live in a place called Rome.
Due to his crimes, he was thrown in jail and fell in love with the jailers daughter, who he healed. It's said that before his execution, he gave her a letter signed 'from your Valentine.'. As such, the holiday has been used to celebrate loves and the Saint, but back where I come from, it has been changed so that you can also celebrate your bonds with friends and family members.
And Gandalf..don't worry. I know enough not to plot on the network, where she may see. And I'll be careful. Even now, I don't want to die or become her puppet until I can help everyone.
However..Gandalf, I need your help. Dax sent me a note..he left us some data in the Administrative floors for us to retrieve. He has some strong guards in place so that the other Administrators can't get to it, so we can. I'm trying to form a small party today on the eleventh floor and organize-quietly-a strategy to get down there, get the data, deal with whatever else we may find, and return topside.
I would appreciate it if you could join me in the eleventh floor sometime today. If you can't, I'll understand and I won't hold it against you. This is dangerous. But..destroy this note and don't speak of it to anyone.
Good luck. Take care, alright? If you need my help with anything..let me know.
Your friend,
Tohko Amano, the book girl.
[Placed the morning of March 1st]
Date: 2013-03-01 09:47 am (UTC)Do not act hastily, he even said so himself. I know that you wish to find that information as soon as possible, but failing to respect his last wishes is not the way to do it! Wait for another distraction where we may sneak in. It is sure to happen someday.
In the meantime, that is the time we use to find others who have been given a note and keep one another informed, to build trusted forces, and to bide our time.
We must act, yes, but we must act slowly. Do not disrespect Dax's hope in us by ignoring his cautions. It may take weeks. It may take months. It may even take years.
But we must be patient, now more than ever. If not because it is safe, but because Dax wanted us to be so.
-Enoch
[A reply is sent on the afternoon of March 1st.]
Date: 2013-03-01 10:33 am (UTC)..If I appeared hasty and disrespectful, I did not mean to. Trying to form a party to go under and retrieve whatever he left for us and forming a plan might be a bit hasty..but since I'm not sure how we can even get in right now, I'm not planning on doing anything major until we do find a safe way.
But I do agree with you..it would probably be best if the three of us met soon with whatever groups or people we've informed and are interested in joining us. It would help us to better form a plan and to keep updated.
Hopefully it will not take years..but I have said before that I'm patient. Maybe I'm not as patient as I thought I was..but I'll have to improve, in that case.
Good luck.
-Tohko Amano, the book girl.

Date: 2013-03-25 01:27 am (UTC)It is time we put these letters of ours to use. We should meet two days from now in the mixed sauna on the level immediately below this mailroom, one hour after the first level stops serving the midday meal.

Date: 2013-06-07 05:27 am (UTC)Unfolding it shows a note.*
Tohko,
I know that you and he can be at odds at times, but please be kind to Lucifel. He is coming to terms with the prospect of mortality - of potentially only having a year left - in much the same way I faced that of immortality. But he is proud, and I believe he is prone to hide his unease behind his humor, which can be irritating to those who are not acclimated to it. Be patient with him.
Your friend,
Enoch
[A letter, delivered on the morning of June 4th.]
Date: 2013-06-07 06:02 am (UTC)Thank you for that portion of your story. It must have been rather painful to recall and write..and it tasted like a bag of saltwater taffy with a bit too much salt. But it wasn't bad. It's rather sad though..if only the king who ruled that city knew exactly what your 'blessing' held. But..since writing was rare back then, I suppose people back then had a harder time understanding or thinking about people in different situations than the ones they were in.
It's good that you have someone so important to you in the Tower, especially at a time like this. I know you might not remember..but I do have to wonder what made the two of you have a falling-out at first, if at all? And Enoch..out of curiosity, did you happen to go mad when you returned to Meridian? If you don't want to answer, that's alright. It's a bit of a personal and nosy question, to be honest.
And don't worry. We may not always see eye-to-eye, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be malicious towards Lucifel. I talked with him while the illusions were down and..while he didn't show any emotions on it one way or the other, I do know from a past conversation that he wouldn't like having his powers sealed. Something even bigger, like mortality, would probably be a shock to him. It's alright though. His teasing reminds me a little bit of Ryuto sometimes, so I can put up with it. After all, my heart is as big as the Andromeda Galaxy, so I can deal with it!
Your friend,
Tohko Amano, the book girl.

These are a little delayed, but do tell Ivan I said 'Hi.' Hopefully, he is being a good little librarian drone. You may keep the rest of the tags to do with as you wish. I am sure you will find a good use for them.
I hope you are doing well after the chaos that was last month.
--Diarmuid
[When Tohko opens the box, she will find that the first name tag already has IVAN written in large bold letters beneath the "Hi! My name is:" that is already printed on the labels. Also included in the box is a folded paper hat. All good librarian drones need hats, after all!]
Letter and book left in his mailbox on July Second.
Date: 2013-07-01 11:33 pm (UTC)Diarmuid,
Thank you so much! I wasn't expecting you to give these to me, so thank you! I told Ivan that you said hello, and he's his usual self. Maybe I can see if the other drones would like name tags too. It must be a pain explaining their names to everyone all the time.
As for last month..I'm actually doing well. After all, whether it's in wire or flesh and blood, my soul is still my soul. Hopefully you're doing alright though. If you're not, feel free to talk to me, okay?

Date: 2013-07-05 04:37 am (UTC)Thank you for the next portion of your story. It's odd..while it tasted a little salty in some parts, for the most part, it tasted like warm, vegetable and meat soup, the sort that would give you strength after a bowl or two.
It must have been terrible to kill a person like that, especially since he was like you in a way, even though you didn't have much of a choice in the matter. I..don't think Lucifel would have doubted you if you hesitated for a moment. I could be wrong, but that doesn't seem the sort of thing he would do.
I'm pretty glad that this place isn't semi-sentient like the Tower you encountered in your universe..but something's been bugging me. Maybe immortality wasn't the only thing you received. Maybe you got extra strength to survive the fall, as well as other things. After all, Lucifel isn't the best at informing people sometimes about developments like that.
Moving on, I did want to ask you something that I've been thinking about lately! Has writing down your experiences helped your heart at all? I'm just curious, that's all. You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

Date: 2013-07-29 10:22 am (UTC)My apologize for not being able to reply to you on the network, but some things should not be said publicly. Furthermore it appears my fears were justified and the administrators deleted the post.
We worked on the terminals and went through the security protocols, to try and access sealed information. The results of our work seemingly shut them down, but an entity then contacted us through a program titled "037.exe". She refused to confirm her identity, but answered to the name of Ruana.
I spoke with her and asked her question. Whenever I got close to a truth, she refused to answer further questions. After a while when she realized I was a scientist, she offered me a choice between three video: 009, 022, 159. It is obvious which one I picked.
I felt something different from this Ruana. I believe she may be of further help to us in the future, this is why I did not reveal her secret on the network. If she could be contacted again, maybe we could get access to more video.
-- Emmett L. Brown
P.S.: According to her, the missing Psychology books may be somewhere "downstairs", in the lower levels of the tower I assume. However for some reasons she claimed to be unable to bring them to me.
Delivered on the 29th
Date: 2013-07-29 10:57 am (UTC)It's alright! Don't worry about it. I would have done the same in your shoes. It's a shame that the Administrators deleted the post..but understandable.
However, it's interesting that you found that program of sorts! Maybe it's an A.I. or something that Ruana made to be her network identity when she was asleep. Her behavior does sound similar to Ruana's, after all.
However..I'm not sure if we can wholly trust or depend upon this Ruana. After all, think about it. She offered you the videos with little to no explanation about them. She might have just been trying to get a rise out of you. After all, you know Ruana likes watching us squirm around when she inflicts her 'games' on us.
Be careful, okay? Let me know if you need any help. I'm back with computers most of the time, but I'll do my best.
From,
Tohko Amano, the book girl
P.S. Aha! I figured as much. She probably doesn't want anyone else to see what might lurk in those books. However, it's not just psychology books that are down there, Doc.
During the recent Time Suspension thing, the Administrators managed to drug me and make me work down in the libraries. I don't remember much of it, but I do remember sorting through a huge fiction library before Zo busted in, bawling out his eyes.
Maybe we should try going down there and stealing a few volumes sometime.

Date: 2013-08-25 01:34 am (UTC)Thank you for your wonderful gift, my dear. I'm sorry that I haven't had the chance to tell you how much it means to me until now. Know that it has brought me quite a lot of comfort.
I would like to apologize for how I treated you the first day I met. I was frightened, and I did not know how to react to waking up in such a place. I know I have not been here for very long, but it feels like I've been trapped for an eternity, and I'm sure I would have been much more unprepared to deal with this place had I not had the information you told me.
This letter isn't altogether as coherent as I'd like it to be. I recently found myself back on my rather lifeless homeworld, and it's left me quite shaken up.
And the administrators sent me JeaI digress.
Thank you for being so kind and helpful toward me when I did nothing to earn your respect. I would like to make it up to you somehow. When we next find ourselves with proper food, please allow me to make you dinner. I promise, it will be exquisite.
Yours truly,
Francis

Date: 2013-08-25 02:52 am (UTC)Oh, you're welcome! I don't think many of us have had any free time with everything that's been going on recently..but if it was able to bring you some comfort and keep your spirits afloat, then I'm happy.
And you don't have to worry. It's alright. You were scared and surprised, and I probably sounded like Raoul when he was ranting about the Phantom. Don't worry about it. However, if the small amount of information I gave you has been able to help you, then I'm glad. If you ever have any more questions, please let me know, okay?
And..I'm sorry that you were sent back home recently. I know you may not want to talk, but if you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here. And..did you get something related to Joan? If so, I really am sorry. That's just horrible.
And you're welcome..but a version of you did do something to earn my respect. He helped me out when I was blind, and since I was sure that you were of the same moral character, that earned my respect. And you don't have to cook me dinner if you don't want to, since finding ingredients here must be a huge hassle..but if you want to, I would be more than happy to attend.
